Travelling by Rail There are regular services from the London area to Portsmouth Harbour where a fast catamaran can be picked up to Ryde Pier from where Island Line Services are available to Shanklin. Ventnor is then a short taxi or bus ride away of approximately 15 minutes. Travelling by Air The Isle of Wight has two small airfields at Bembridge and Sandown with facilities for private aircraft.
